On March 14, 2013, the NVvL successfully organized a symposium on the SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) program. Within the framework of this SESAR program, technology is being developed to meet the future capacity demands and safety requirements of the Single European Sky (SES) initiative. <\/p>\n
The symposium was opened with a keynote lecture by the representative of the SESAR Joint Undertaking, Florian Guillermet.
Ten representatives from all major Dutch stakeholders in the field of air transport\u2014such as the government (Jacqueline Prins), KLM (Peter Hartman), Schiphol Airport (Ad Rutten), air traffic control organization LVNL (Paul Riemens), EUROCONTROL Maastricht Upper Area Control Centre (Jac Jansen), KNMI (Floortje Hanneman), NLR (Michel Peters), and TU Delft (Ricky Curran)\u2014presented their involvement in these new developments and shared their visions on the subject.<\/p>\n
The symposium attracted great interest: 100 attendees followed the lectures and participated in the subsequent panel discussion with the speakers. Additionally, we were pleased to welcome 24 students as new NVvL members! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
